The Lonely

“The Lonely”

is a dance offering that explores the relationship between humans and divine forces. It interprets how the entities people give their trust and faith to can eventually exercise power over them, creating a divide amongst a sea of believers. The earthlings wear loud yellow cowboy hats, touched by naivety as they describe their paths and personalities. The all-seeing being is represented by a dancer dressed in a white blouse, often accompanying or controlling the earthling’s movements with hand-held castanets.
